Security Starts at the Gate – Franjo Rozman Joins Perimeter Innovation Day 2026

Franjo Rozman, founder and owner of the Slovenian company MIOTIS, will be among the speakers at Perimeter Innovation Day 2026 on 16 October in Maribor.

With decades of professional experience, extensive technical expertise and a strong commitment to innovation, Franjo specialises in developing reliable, tailor-made access solutions for sites with complex security and operational requirements.

In his presentation,

“Security Starts at the Gate – Who Gets In and Who Stays Out,”

he will explore the challenges of managing vehicle and pedestrian access at high-security facilities, where gates, barriers, fencing and access control systems must work together seamlessly and be adapted to the specific requirements of each site.

His experience includes projects for Slovenia Control, Slovenia’s national air navigation service provider, as well as HEINEKEN and Pivovarna Laško Union in the brewing industry, mechatronics specialist Iskra Mehanizmi, professional tool manufacturer Unior, plant-protection and pest-control company Unichem, and meat producer Celjske mesnine.

Although concise, Franjo’s presentation will provide valuable practical insights into one of the fundamental questions of physical security: how can we reliably determine who is allowed to enter a protected facility – and who must remain outside?
