Can an electric fence be innovative? Nemtek takes the stage in Maribor

Our relationship with Nemtek goes back more than two decades. We first became familiar with the South African company’s solutions in 2004 through Mark Verhagen, who dedicated enormous energy and commitment to introducing Nemtek technologies to the European market.

Since then, Nemtek has established a strong presence in Europe. Today, under Mark’s leadership, Nemtek Europe operates from its own base in the Netherlands, supported by local stock serving customers and partners across the European market.

Nemtek electric fencing solutions are developed for perimeter security applications with the highest security requirements and are used to protect high-security environments such as prisons, airports, energy infrastructure and other critical sites.

At Perimeter Innovation Day 2026, however, we want to look beyond the traditional concept of electric fencing.
